Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Kia Sorrento, we're going to be test fitting the Titan Chain alloy snow tire chains, part number TC2317.When you purchase these chains, these are going to be more for regular use, areas that get a lot of snow, probably year round, but probably not as much as some other areas. The diamond pattern and the square links are going to give you superior traction in both snow and light ice. Now, with the diamond pattern here that's going to cover more of the tire, that's going to give you better starting and stopping power on your turns and greater starting and stopping power in general. Since we have these small links here, that's actually going to provide a little bit of a smoother ride while you use these as well.These are very easy to install. They simply slide around the back of your tire and hook up accordingly. Also, they're color-coded as to where you need to go from one place to the next, such as this point here down to this point here. more

Now today we're going to be working with size 225 60R 17 on our Kia. Here's what our chains look like when they're fully installed. They're going to give us adequate traction in either snow or ice. The latter 00:00:23 pattern here is going to assist us whether we're starting or stopping. Now the steel rollers are wrapped around a durable cable here and they're going to give us a nice smooth ride compared to square linked chain. Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2016 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on our 2016, Kia Sorento, we'll be installing the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW2029C. This is what the chain looks like installed. As you can see, it fits our tire very nice and snug, so you don't have to worry about the chains making contact with any of our suspension components here, such as our strut or any of the steering linkage or anything like that. These SAE Class S rated chains are designed specifically for vehicles with low wheel well clearance like this or low-profile tires. They work perfectly in this application. The tensioning mechanism here is very easy to use, locks into place here nicely, so you don't have to worry about it coming undone in the design that it has here because the tire rotation won't hit the handle if you we're to run up against a piece of debris on the side of the road. It'll just bounce off of it and it'll stay still attached. Here's our tire chain laid out on the ground here. As you can see they have a ladder pattern design all the way across. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2015 Kia Sportage- Video
Today on our 2015 Kia Sportage we'll be installing the Glacier Cable Snow Chains, part number PW1038. With our cable chain laid out, one end is going to have the adjustable notches. These notches will go into the eyelets on the other end, taking up as much slack as possible. If we have enough, the cable will lap over and go through the cable keeper where it'll get secured so that the excess doesn't flap around and potentially damage the brake line or wiring going to the caliper. Note, if you do not have enough length to reach the cable keeper you can also trim it right behind the notches to prevent fraying. You can also set it up for this specific vehicle and tire size and trim it as necessary right behind the notches. Another way to keep the cable would be to use a couple of zip-ties holding to the main outside cable. With our tire chain laid out we'll make sure that the cross-chain hook is going to face out away from the tire and that the smooth surface will be against the tire and sidewall so that we don't damage the tire. We're now ready to go ahead and put our cable chain in place. more

Today, on our 2015 Kia Sorrento, we'll be installing the Glacier cable snow chains, part number PW2029C. Our set of Glacier chains will come with both one for the driver's and passenger's side. These chains can be used on a front wheel or rear wheel drive, depending on your vehicle. Now, first, we've gone ahead and laid our cable chains out, so that the cross section that meets the outside cable, the hook of it will face out, away from the tire. The cable is adjustable. The cable end will go through the eyelet, so you can take up the slack, as necessary. Then, we'll use the clip to secure the excess cable. more

Today, on our 2015 Kia Sorento, we'll be installing the Glacier Cable Snow Chain, part number PW1046. To begin our install, we've gone ahead and laid out our cable chains here, because it'll make it easier to install. Noting that the cross cable hook will face out, away from the tire, and the smooth surface against the tire so it doesn't dig in. Another quick feature is the adjustable cable that has the notches that will go through the eyelets on the other end of the cable, and adjusting the tension as necessary. Note that we do not want more than one notch difference between inside and outside of the tire. If you have excess cable we can also use the cable keeper by feeding it through the notches; it will secure the excess. more

Now to begin our test fit well need to lay the chains out on the ground and make sure we get any kinks or knots out of the chains. With that done well identify the correct way to mount the chains to the tire. Youll notice that on the side cable here where the cross chain attaches, in other words tire side. Well make sure that these face the tire when we mount our cable chains. Well now drape them over the tire and make sure that our cross chains are centered with our tire tread. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2013 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on our 2013 Kia Sorrento well be test fitting the Glacier cable snow tire chains for light trucks, part number PW202C. This vehicle is primary front wheel drive so well be putting the tire chains on the front tires and well be putting them on 235/65/17 tires. Now before we began our test fit well first need to lay the chains out flat on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. We will then drape the tire chains over the tire noticing that the hooks are facing out of the tire so that they do not damage the tire. Also notice the yellow triangular flag which indicates what side of the vehicle the tire chain should be on and in which direction the tire should rotate. This is extremely important to follow as the tire chains will not operate correctly if on the wrong side of the vehicle. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2007 Kia Sportage PW1038- Video
Today on our 2007 Kia Sportage with tire size P23560R16 well be installing the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains part number PW1038 in conjunction with the rubber adjuster part number PW99. Well now need to identify how to mount the chain on the tire. Youll notice that the cable chains have the words tire side imprinted on each of the side chain hooks. Well now drape the tire chain over the tire with the connection area located at the very bottom of the tire. Youll want to make sure that the tire side writing faces the tire itself. Well center the chains relative to the tire tread where we can then go to the inside of the tire and connect the cable first by inserting the adjustment end of the side cable through the hook fastener making sure to take up as much of the slack in the side cable as possible. more
